Meet Jade
My name is Jade Wiese. I am a Health Science major while also earning a certificate in Nutrition. I plan to apply to the Doctorate program in Nutrition and Dietetics at IU Indianapolis in 2028. In my first semester as an undergraduate student, I have had the opportunity to research topics related to homelessness, living conditions, and challenges faced by homeless individuals. I have created a film review, completed an immersion experience narrative, and crafted a formal argument.
A documentary film review of Marc Singers film following the lives of his friends facing homelessness in New York
A feature style narrative that documents my experience serving food to homeless people in Downtown Indianapolis.
This paper argues that serving food to homeless individuals should be allowed in all cities because it greatly improves community health and well-being, encourages community involvement, and offers crucial support to those in need. I provide several suggestions on how communities can help feed the homeless in every city.
This reflective writing outlines the strategies I have learned throughout the semester in W131, which helped me achieve several course goals.
